Why We Made This Website

Over many years of leisure travel and geoscience field research, we have been struck not only by the compelling beauty of unique landscape scenes, but by their rich storytelling potential.  We enjoy imagining the action that might play out in a forest ravine, on a cliff-bound ocean shore, or in a geyser basin.  Appreciating and photographing the detail of a wilderness scene, talking about the natural processes that have shaped it, we have often speculated on the ways that these aspects might surprise characters with new insights, challenges, or resources.  We would like to share that kind of perspective with you.
